Increasing the Participation of Women in Technology

Only 25% of programmers in the U.S. are women and they have a hard time being heard in the developer community. The Oracle developer community has 10 million members, yet very few women are influencers in that community. To promote women’s careers and overcome biases against women in technology, Yolande wants to create a vibrant online community to bring to light the work of women in technology and increase their participation. The long-term goal is to empower women to innovate and become leaders who will inspire young girls to join technical fields.
